Re: Am I in the right place?
What a lovely comment! Thank you! I definitely think the first serious comic book artists owe a debt to William Blake's work in illuminated poetry, in fact you can definitely see the same conceptual ground being trod in works like Watchmen and Hellblazer.
My first book (second plate) is very much poem and full illustration as above. My second book doesn't have a full illustration on every spread but every page is decorated.
I love the old folios and 18th - 19th century manuscripts. I mean God shouldn't we expect more than a bound word document? When you buy a novel these days the most you can hope for is a slightly unusual font...
Witch Hat Atelier looks gorgeous - I'll definitely check it out. I see a bit of Kiki's delivery service in it.
Thanks Again for the kind words!

Am I in the right place?
Hi
I'm Graeme just wondering if this is the right place to sell my books? I'm not a traditional comic book artist as such - I've created two illuminated poetry books (third on the way - you know yourselves the pain of an early stage project lol).
I've put two double spreads below so you can see what I'm talking about - I love doing this but it has been difficult to find the right place to release stuff online.. So what do you think? I know the graphic novel audience tends to be more open-minded and appreciative of experimental content than a lot of the "mainstream". Think any of the readers would be interested? All comments welcome and thank you for looking.
