It’s time for me to finally write about my creation on here, too!
Hello! My name is Dasha W. Frost (or just Frosty, in short). A little about myself. I’ve been drawing since childhood, and I cannot imagine my world without it, for it’s a truly giant and extremely important part of my life! I realize it right now that I always liked to make single random drawings that represent a certain scene, a little situation – often comedic – sometimes even with speech bubbles. Back in the day, I also used to write stories and I loved drawing characters of these stories, as well. Some of those characters are at least 17 years old now and still developing, that’s crazy! At some point of time I enjoyed making little single or two-page strips about my characters that I used to share on DeviantArt; most of those are deleted by now for they were too silly!
But realization of the actual potential for a comic-type creation hit me only a couple years ago when the first story drafts for “Time & Again” have been written, very unexpectedly.
And here it is! This is my first-ever graphic novel, and it’s called “Time & Again”! The first 3 chapters out of 8 are released - https://globalcomix.com/c/time-again
And though it might be the first one, but it sure became quite significant to me. Like I already wrote about it elsewhere, “this story is a sort of an art manifest, a self-challenge, a thoughtful message that I want to deliver to the readers through the graphic novel medium.”
The premises “in a nutshell”: a few years pass after a certain incident, and Lothar, a contract killer, reunites with a person who is special for him, and now the new horizons (and possibly obstacles) await the couple. Are they really destined to be together in this reality? Or will the dreadful event of the past repeat itself yet again, no matter the timeline and Lothar’s effort?..
And here goes an important note. It’s a graphic novel with a twist. I consider it somewhat experimental, and by that I don’t mean just the oddities of narration (there are gaps between the chapters, and at some point the story will not be linear anymore), but also fluctuations of the style I allow in it: each chapter is different – to greater or smaller extent - in the visuals, emotions, and the message.
Do not let my art style deceive you (because it sure might): despite the colourful cartoony artworks, it focuses on a variety of serious and important problems and questions that most of us humans face during their lifetime: loss of the beloved ones, self-doubt and sense of guilt, mental disorders and depression, what it means to be a human being, and the worth of a person in the world – those are among the questions it explores. Psychology, action, horror, romance, comedy, supernatural, and surreal are all mixed together in it.
And one more surprising thing: you don’t have to read the chapters in order! This crazy graphic novel is episodic, yet continuous. Each chapter is written in such a way that it represents a complete bite-size story with its own style and even a dominating genre definition. Feel free to choose the one (or two, or three) you like best! However, there is indeed a story progression, and you will probably get extra satisfaction from reading the entire thing, looking for clues and interconnections between various chapters and single utterances of the characters across those chapters.

It might be a weird thing to ask about, but still I'd like to know. Just wondering if I should decide on a certain title for my graphic novel right away (which is apparently not coming to me no matter how much I try, but oh well) or it is possible to change it afterwards even after it goes "live" on the website.
I know Tapas allows this, but what about GlobalComix?
