Re: Check out Emerald-Man!
I have not printed much at all. I have stayed digital for now. Only because I don't think I have enough readers to back a huge book campaign.

Re: Check out Emerald-Man!
I tried Ka-Blam, their print quality is excellent but they have limited formatting, and getting their books through their shop took forever for me.

Re: Check out Emerald-Man!
So far comics has been a hobby for me. I have had the story in mind for about a decade though it's been changed over and over quite a bit. This is the final draft.

Check out Emerald-Man!
I have been making Emerald-Man for a year now, and it has been a blast. I have 10 issues released, of 14-16 page long stories. If you like silver aged superheroes and Irish/Scottish Celtic Myth, this one may interest you. The best way I can describe it is like the disney TV show Gargoyles, where it meshes myth/folklore with modern day superheroes. Except I try to treat the characters more like an old fashioned comic book.

But what is Emerald-Man? It is about Stephen Barnes, the current descendant of an ancient clan of druids who are sworn to protect the world from the forces of evil. He swears a knight's oath to become a hero, one devoted to defeating evil spirits, fey, and other unseelie beings. He goes against a vengeful spirit named the Fetch, who seeks to destroy the spirit of Danu ni Muach, the last druid and Emerald-Man's mentor.

I have already seen 3.3k views on the first issue alone, and hundreds more on other issues. While I am still an amateur, I promise to try and deliver a satisfying story with uplifting principles, not cynical storytelling. Emerald-Man is not an anti-hero; while the stories may revolve around truly evil villains, Emerald-Man is a light in the darkness against them. I hope you guys enjoy it too!

Re: Introduce Your Comic and You! (Old Thread)
I'm Collin Lamping. I risk it and go by my proper name on here because I want it associated with my work. I found globalcomix from a simple websearch, actually. I was searching for websites where I could upload my more traditional comic style and this one was recommended. At first I was uneasy about it, but I am glad I began sharing my work here. I particularly like the reader for it.

My comic's name is "The Mystical Emerald-Man", it's a superhero comic steeped with celtic mythology. Writing-wise, I try to base it off of old silver-bronze age comic books, those were my favorite. So it has a bit of an older style to it. However, I think folks would like it anyways. I think there's people out there itching for older styled comic books again, and I wish to deliver.

The best way I can describe the genre I am going for is a little like Disney's Gargoyles (though I began writing this comic before I knew about that show). It has a mixture of both science fiction superhero stuff, and the existence of mythical elements such as fey, ghosts, angelic beings, etc. involved. If you like that, as well as Irish/Scottish mythology, you may be enticed by this as well!

Many of the issues are 14-16 page long stories, like traditional comic books. I pray folks enjoy, and I'd love some feedback in the comics or on the discussion forum associated with the comic. I also have email and social media for that too. (Comments or feedback may be featured at the letters column at the end of my issues. Just no promoting your own work please.)

Questions for The Mystical Emerald-Man!
This thread is for posting any questions to be featured at the end in Emerald-Express. I won't answer questions that spoil future issues however.

Fan art is also welcome!
