Re: What drew you into making/wanting to make comics?
I have always done art, since I was a kid. I used to be into comics as a teen (mostly Image comics), in the 90s and probably thought I would end up drawing comics or go into animation or something. I never did though. Instead, I leaned more toward Fine Art and Illustration for years. I go into doing my current comic series more as a challenge. I had some friends who said that they thought my art would look amazing in a comic book, so I gave it a shot and ended up liking it.
Re: Introduce Your Comic and You! (Old Thread)
Hey, my name is John and I created a Horror/Action/Comedy series called, The Cult of Pizza.
To sum it up, it's: "Two pizzeria employees and an ancient vampire fight monsters and supernatural evil to a retro-noir backdrop, while also trying to stop a pizza cult from raising and harnessing an inter-dimensional evil."
Influences are pretty much: Ash vs. Evil Dead, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mike Mignola, Todd McFarlane, Tim Burton, Sin City, Hellboy, etc.
It's fast paced, like the movie: Crank and meant to be extremely over the top.
