Description

We are working with a university in Nigeria to develop an interactive comic book to support talk therapy among HIV positive youth in Sub Saharan Africa. We have 3 short storylines we are developing, each with 2 or 3 choices / branches. We have pencil storyboards for each of the panels, that look similar to the attached image. Each of the stories follows an HIV positive teen or young adult navigating their experience. Themes addressed include stigma, disclosure, and adherence. The stories are set in West Africa.

We are looking for an illustrator to help us make these storyboards into something that will resonate with the youth we are working with. Our team on the ground in Lagos includes youth champions who are providing feedback on illustrations. We aim to deliver to them an experience that they love and that they feel represents them.

Please reach out if you are passionate about making an impact in the lives of this population. We are particularly keen to connect with illustrators who are comfortable telling narratives set in West Africa.

Experience with illustrating for games is a plus. We may not want to separate backgrounds from character design to increase opportunities for animations and the flexibility of the game.
