Chapter 1 follows the way he pushes himself through another demon attack, trying to hide the guilt that drives him. In the middle of the battle, he uses a strange power he doesn’t fully understand, and it draws the demons toward him in a way that shouldn’t be possible. By the end of the chapter, a different kind of demon shows up calm, intelligent, and calling Yoshitoro by his name. That moment hints that the demons aren’t just here to destroy the world… they’re connected to him somehow.
