Ever since a bizarre traumatic event, Nuei has been cursed with a strange black mass that reacts based on his state of mind. After 12 years, Nuei has moved back to the town where it all began in a desperate attempt to make peace with his past and end the curse. However, at his new job, he discovers a strange book relating to his curse. Not only that, but grotesque spirits of the dead have begun to rise at night and devour citizens of the valley. It's up to Nuei to use the teachings of the book to save the people of the valley, but with how much he resents his hometown can he bring himself to?
