When We Transform #0

This initial "Issue #0" tells the story of David, as his mother, Carolyn, visits his graveside, and recounts the events that led to her losing her son. We learn of David's involvement in the Light Patrol, the world's premier monster fighting team of superhero mech pilots, and how it ultimately led to his disappearance. Years later, David's mother is approached by a mysterious woman who claims to have information about what really happened to her son. However, her story is one that's hard to believe, and even harder to understand. Now, the future of both Carolyn and her child will be forever changed by one conversation...
