Vault-Ω

Description
The morning after the inventory brings no plan: it brings work. Each of them meets it the way they are made — one with their hands, one by reading, one by laying the parts in order before touching them — and the buried carrier slowly stops looking like a tomb. It becomes a skeleton, then an assembly order, then something that stands on its own. This is a chapter of gestures more than words: a plate lifted bare-handed, a cabin with no windows and a question with no good answer, a turret that finally works. Then the ash gives back a sound nobody made, and the worksite has to defend itself with whatever is in reach. When the silence returns, the group does not celebrate: it counts the hours left. VAULT-Ω is a story about building in a world that unmakes — and this is the chapter where, for the first time, something built together holds its own weight.
