After that, the same man seems to appear everywhere, becoming a quiet constant in an otherwise faceless world. When Kassius finally works up the courage to introduce himself, their brief conversation triggers something unexpected as the surrounding faces begin to come into focus. though the effect is incomplete, the encounter suggests that connection, not a miracle cure but the act of reaching out, may be what helps his world slowly come into view.
