The dynamic between the main cast really works. There's also a lot of foreshadowing and worldbuilding going on but it's carefully interwoven into the narrative. A lot of neat details are left for the readers to notice themselves like the funny/cute stickers on Mary's glove for example.
The few panels that have action in them left a great first impression and I can't wait to reach some of the promised boss battles!
