Daniel de la Rosa dreads his birthday, a grim reminder of his monotonous life. On his eighteenth, his friends mock his desired shoes, squander his birthday cash on drinks, and, after a breakup, trash a community garden. But something shifts—Daniel hears the plants begging for help. With newfound purpose, he must decide if he can bridge divides between people and nature, becoming the spark to heal both.
