Look... when every superhero on Earth suddenly drops dead, it can lead to some impulsive decision-making. At the time, getting “supervillains” together to save the world seemed like... a thing... we could do. We were visualizing this whole scenario where a ragtag bunch'a misfits would overcome their differences and pull it together in the third act. Works in sports movies, right? Bad News Bears, Major League, Slap Shot... whatever that one with Keanu Reeves was... In retrospect, we allocated too much time to trying to remember the names of Keanu Reeves movies and not enough considering that supervillains are completely f***ed, broken people with untreated mental illnesses.
