Issue 1
The Standalone Man
SYNOPSIS: The Stand-Alone Man
The Setup (The Landscape of Dust and Silence)
The frontier is an endless expanse of scorched earth, ruled by a cruel, deeply entrenched alien caste system. The monstrous, high-caste elites occupy fortress-like estates and rich mining sectors, while the lower-caste humanoids scratch out a brutal existence in lawless, sun-baked border towns. They are forbidden from owning horses or carrying heavy firearms.
Into this world rides a ghost. He has no past, no allegiance, and no official name—though the elites call his kind "humanoid," the desperate locals whisper about him as The Eliminator, and the wind just calls him Kyle. He is a solitary drifter who belongs nowhere, shrouded in a heavy green poncho, a cigar perpetually burning between his teeth, and two heavy, primitive iron pistols strapped to his hips. He moves through the desert like a lone wolf, completely detached from the world around him.
