Emelia has never belonged; cursed, as she sees it, with an unlucky skin. Then she found a home with Old Joe, but it was not to last. Crazed cultists want her dead. A coven of witches scheme for her to join their fold. They say she belongs to a demon. So Old Joe calls in a favor from a friend: Jake Sunrise. Jake wants nothing to do with the kid, yet knows that a true friend is hard to find. Besides which, he's getting paid. The cursed wanderer must now decide what role he will play in this supernatural battle. Does he have the courage to sacrifice his selfish ways to fulfill the favor and protect the child?
