In the futuristic city of Inseldo on the planet Novus, superheroes are the guardians against the native species, the Eaxsins. The Galactic Prince is set to take on his father's mantle of guardian of Inseldo, when he tragically dies due to an Eaxsin attack! A draft must occur, as The Galactic Prince has no living relatives. A random citizen, Eric Provance, is chosen, and becomes the Planetary Knight! Two orphans plead to become the Planetary Knight's sidekicks, and he reluctantly accepts.
