The year is 2002. Seventeen year old Monroe Félix has had a hard life. She drinks to cope, and even though things are bad, they're about to get much worse. David Black is a rich kid, and Monroe has caught his eye. Soon they begin a tumultuous love affair, but what Monroe doesn't know is that Dave is playing a game, where Monroe will always be the loser.
Dave needs a lesson. sometimes im sorry just isnt enough. some people think that an "im sorry" can just fix any trasgression and while you dhould be apologetic when you hurt someone, sometimes you need to do more to fix it. plus i hate that he calls her an idiot. he has no right to talk to her that way when he cheated her. she has a right to press him on it. his reason is so bad. it didnt occur to him? he is so self-centered her feelings didnt even occur to him. starting a relatioship with a "fine, I'll be your girlfriend" is such a turbulent beginning. i feel sorry for Monroe.
her sticking with Dave reminds me of when I hate a job but I can’t find a better one so I have to put up with the bullshit. she’s staying with him cuz her past says she can’t get anything better
