Issue II

In the City of Rivers, keeping people entertained is how you keep them in line. Silas and Steve break into a Kisonic Enterprises facility to get a look at New Destiny, a virtual-reality system that promises anyone the life they've always wanted. Then Silas goes under. For a while the dream holds. Then it starts to fall apart, and the wall between the simulation and the real world goes with it. Steve has to pull his friend out before there's nothing left to pull. But Silas has already crossed into something bigger than a corporate experiment: visions he can't explain, forces he can't see, and the armed agents of N.E.O. closing in on them both. Trapped inside a building built to bury the truth, the two of them have nothing to rely on but nerve, whatever tech they can reach, and each other. The Last Day: Issue II carries a cyberpunk conspiracy where virtual reality, spiritual mystery, and authoritarian power aren't as separate as they seem. And getting out of the system may only be the beginning.
