The Lantern Path is a ground-breaking graphic narrative by London-based digital artist and filmmaker Varian Qua (creator of an international film festival official selection short film KOMIKA). Merging traditional digital art with the generative power of AI as an artist's tool, this project explores the intersection of human creative skills with this future technology. Drawing on the aesthetics of Japanese folklore and the pacing of cinematic storytelling, The Lantern Path is more than just a comic - it is a meditation on canvas. The series is rooted in Buddhist values, specifically the concept of Interdependence, exploring how our individual journeys are inextricably linked to those around us.
