Huimang s'apprête à devenir Huimang HopeCastle.
La veille de son départ, Ki, une mystérieuse jeune fille en kimono peu conventionnel, se matérialise avec fracas et magie dans son placard. D'où vient-elle ? Que fait-elle ici ? Va-t-elle revenir ? Quel est ce mystérieux artefact de la forme d'une Boite qu'elle promène avec elle et qui semble être à l'origine de son étrangeté ?
Huimang se retrouve alors emporté dans une épopée aux confins de mondes nouveaux, ainsi que dans une mystérieuse École des Dragons, dont elle porte très mal le nom. Les "Mâ", les "Sans" et la Boite entrent dans sa vie pour ne jamais en ressortir.
