In the year 2075, humanity is now connected to an uneasy alliance of alien planets that all occupy an area of space titled the Origin River. A human named Ava Bentley and her best friend Fai Reyes plan to become intergalactic explorers, but when Ava’s past comes back with a vengeance, their trajectory changes and they become mercenaries to fight back.
