Years after the death of his brother, Aarón Melisandré, along with his nephew, Mico, return to the mall where the horrific incident occurred. Where they hope to find closure and peace, they are instead met with the mysterious multiversal villain named Circuit-Breaker. They learn that Circuit-Breaker has a plan to sacrifice kidnapped Katian's, to the Mortal Engine. However, on the flipside of things, Circuit-Breaker isn't exactly the relentless villain he appears to be. His violent actions and thoughts are not his own, or at least that's what a mysterious voice tells him.
