The Crystal Book Chapter 2 – The Feathered Serpent

Arutneva takes Karla on her first journey through time, landing in the ancient city of Tula in pre-Hispanic Mexico. There they must recover a lost page of the Crystal Book before the Inquisitor does. But the mission goes wrong when Karla is poisoned by one of the Inquisitor's creatures — a monstrous offspring of Cipactli, the primordial beast of Aztec mythology. Their only hope is a mysterious child who turns out to be none other than Quetzalcoatl himself, the feathered serpent god, who gives them a healing feather and a warning: seek a sorcerer.
