This was my first 24 Hour Comic and also my first failure. I misunderstood the rules and only did a 22 page comic instead of the 24 page.
I didn't catch that till the 24 hours had expired, so this is it as is.
I did this one at home in my studio.
THIS one is my biggest failure. I finished it pretty quickly, around 9-10am Sunday, and looking it over, I HAD a script but thought it didn't need it.
It did. I left it off and here it is.
It's still a good enough story for me to be proud of...I just wish I had done this one in the Comic Shop because one of them would have talked me into the words.
This one was the most fun. I did it at Lone Star Comics in Arlington (closed) and before the clock started, I took a walk for an idea. I found a face down "Magic the gathering" card in the parking lot. I didn't look at it. I said THIS is my bad guy, shoved it in my pocket and went back in. It was a centaur. I have him in there, but the story evolved (THANK GOD) into this.
This one is my favorite.
This is ALSO the only one of these that went the distance.
I picked out a difficult style to use and threw in a pencil shading bonus multiplier.
I went pencils down on THIS at 11:59am Sunday.
It was done in my studio at home.
I have since revisited this story in my Onigawara title and am animating it as well.
This was the final comic I did at Lone Star Comics in Arlington (closed) as they shut down in 2015. This comic was inspired by the Drive-By Truckers song "Cottonseed" and I really let myself go with it experimenting with a more free flowing story and a more detailed lead character.
Skipped 2015.
This one was done at Red Pegasus Comics in my home town of Oak Cliff

I knew I would do a space comic, and knew I would feature a Space Elevator but didn't get my bad guy till I sat down in the shop and googled Space and a Tardygrade popped up.
I did this one in the studio at home. It's based off of Marty Robbins' song Big Iron and if you have seen my animation of same song, a LOT of this is going to look familiar. It was doing THIS comic that planted the seed to do that cartoon.
I wanted a challenge here so I added an ink wash to the final comic and still completed it in around 20 hours.
Done at my home studio.
Inspired by the game of Go, I decided to do a sequel to a previous comic and made this following the events of 2013's "Demon Tower" This started the title Onigawara and is officially the second chapter in the story.
Done at my home studio, I had a bug to revisit outer space but to make a fighting comic with blasting and explosions.
This is what came out. I still have to do a cover for it though.
I scribbled the title for this three days before doing the comic and decided I would do a Monster comic this year. I picked Barnabus Moss, a character I had created a decade earlier as the protagonist and using the ruins of an Indian Temple city I had just learned of in my Indian Art class, this comic flew together as if magnetized.
I think THIS was the one I completed in 15 hours.
the 24 hour comic for 2022 is "The Magician" I had enough time left after finishing to spot color some of it.
I probably could have colored the entire thing, but I really don't want to set THAT precedent.
Hope you like it.

His gang gets the opportunity to buy booze in Mexico cheaper tan anyone else and he makes the drive down to close the deal but The Purple Gang has other plans.
