Chapter 3: Moon Walkers Part 1

Under the cover of darkness, deep within the innards of Jaixia, Xavier Nib journeys to the O’tnoto District and the Glade Apartments where he meets with Mai’gn Far’dn, a sweet, elderly woman who knows his family. Trailed by a mysterious feline, he steps through a mirror inside Mai’gn’s apartment. The swirling abyss on the other side yearns for their footfalls but the Director and his diminutive companion come to an ominous throbbing door where a malevolent voice commands “Speak.” Who… or better yet… WHAT is on the other side? And who is the mysterious woman emerging from the floor where the cat once stood? Meanwhile, Leira Orta boards the last train out of Jaixia and escapes into the night. Physically and emotionally exhausted, she falls fast asleep, knowing that Xolani Abraham and Micah Ido, the two Blades of Oa tasked with retrieving her, won’t catch her in time. She’s one step closer to safety… and to mom; if she can outrun the Deep Red Moon. The Moonwalkers could still be a threat. As for said Blades, what was that about the military owing them a favor? They aren't out of the running just yet. It's time to enact Plan B. What machinations could they have for our Elemental friend?
