Long ago, the Gods and the Stars waged war against one another. In their final clash, a soldier of one side let fall a blade. This blade pierced the world below, embedding itself deep within it. That sword became known as the Skyscorer, a divine relic worshipped for its blessings, its fortune, and the powers it grants to those it deems worthy. But Blam Whitlock, a child of Nation Gamma into poverty, believes the Skyscorer plays favourites. Although his family prays to it with unwavering devotion, their lives never change. After certain tragedy unfolds, Blam begins to wonder if his own doubts have cursed him, or if the Skyscorer’s justice was never fair to begin with. Driven by grief and anger, Blam sets out to destroy the Skyscorer, seeking to end the cycle of divine injustice that governs his world.
