Maielk is not exempt from the pangs of a lonely and near infinite life, where he finds his only solace in the hunt of the Whispers of Xanros the Elder. One that smothers his pain with anger, and an arrogance that gave birth to demons that have made a comfortable home within his heart. There will be bad weather along the way, and eventually the sun will shine on him once again, but does he have the fortitude to withstand the waves that crash over him?
