REBEL & THE WOLVES — Issue #5
“Exposure”
Short Synopsis
As the pressure from recent events spreads across Crown City, the consequences of Rebel’s actions begin reaching beyond the streets and into the lives of everyday people. When Rashad makes a reckless move against a Swords-connected corner, the fallout puts the Young Wolves directly in danger, forcing Rue to step in and regain control before things spiral further.
Amid the chaos, Rue encounters Leigh Barringer, a calm and commanding presence inside a community clinic overwhelmed by the violence. Unlike everything Rue knows, Leigh operates without fear, ego, or intimidation—holding control through discipline and care rather than force. For the first time, Rue is faced with a different kind of strength.
As tensions rise and retaliation spreads, Rue moves both as himself and as Rebel, shutting down escalating threats while trying to protect his crew from being pulled deeper into conflict. Meanwhile, Tadari observes from a distance through Yari, recognizing Leigh as a new and unpredictable factor in a plan built on control.
By the end, two paths stand side by side in Crown City—one that heals, and one that prevents harm before it begins.
And Rue realizes both may be necessary.
