Nobody knows what happened to our planet, nobody knows its true name, or who built the planet-sized, vast mechanical shell upon its surface. Only the "Apotheoized Operators", humans enhanced by mysterious bioengineering technology excavated from the shell, can survive the cold and desolate surface world.
