Roana finds herself in the midst of a controversy as she befriends a mysterious plague doctor who draws intrigue and danger wherever he goes. He seems to know a little too much about the tragedies entangled in the plague's web and the hardships of people of the town. Is there something more nefarious to him, or is he simply another victim that's fallen to his hopelessness to heal the overwhelming number of sick?
