PEP Comic #221

Pep Comic Issue 221 includes the story “Archie in If At Last You Don't Succeed”. Archie stands tall on his surfboard, ready to conquer the ocean, only to be swallowed by a roaring wave and tumbled to the bottom of the sea among the fish! Coughing up half the ocean, he cracks open the Surfer’s Manual, which cheerfully advises, “If at first you don’t succeed, try again!” Will the Surfer’s Manual help Archie catch a wave... or is he just going to keep getting dunked? Other stories in this issue include “Archie in Wow a Luau”, “Li'l Jinx in Roughing It!”, “Archie in Corsage Mirage”, and more. Originally running from 1940 all the way into the '80s, PEP was the platform for Archie's first appearance in 1941 and introduced many of the Riverdale citizens that the world still follows over 80 years later.
