PEP Comic #214

Pep Comic Issue 214 includes the story “Archie in Chances Are”. Mr. Flutesnoot isn't sure if Jughead's science project makes him a genius or a moron: a machine that calculates Archie's odds of success at anything, built from a full year of careful observation. Jughead proudly declares his creation is finally ready to put Archie's fate into cold, hard numbers. With Archie about to trust every decision to Jughead's machine, what could possibly go wrong? Other stories in this issue include “Reggie in a Federal Case”, “Li'l Jinx in Hand-Daft!”, “Big Moose in Mop Up!”, and more. Originally running from 1940 all the way into the '80s, PEP was the platform for Archie's first appearance in 1941 and introduced many of the Riverdale citizens that the world still follows over 80 years later.
