Pep Comic Issue 184 includes the story “Archie in Storm Center”. Miss Grundy has recruited a very unwilling Archie to perform an authentic Native American rain dance at a school assembly — complete with a feathered headdress and ceremonial costume — and his only hope is making it through the halls without anyone seeing him. That hope evaporates instantly when he rounds a corner and walks straight into Principal Weatherbee, who demands an on-the-spot demonstration and then scoffs that no self-respecting rain god would listen to such nonsense. But when raindrops suddenly begin to fall on Weatherbee right where he stands — could Archie's ridiculous dance actually be working? Other stories in this issue include “Li'l Jinx in Winning Ways“, “Archie in Hung Up”, “Archie and Jughead in Contact”, and more. Originally running from 1940 all the way into the '80s, PEP was the platform for Archie's first appearance in 1941 and introduced many of the Riverdale citizens that the world still follows over 80 years later.
