Pep Comic Issue 174 includes the story “Archie in The Rebel”. Archie and Veronica's perfect romantic evening — candlelit dinner, hi-fi music, the whole Lodge mansion to themselves — hits a wall the moment the dishes need doing, and Veronica hands Archie a frilly apron before vanishing to see Betty's new dress, leaving him alone at the sink.
