Pep Comic Issue 172 includes the story “Betty and Veronica in The Choice”. Betty and Veronica are caught in a full-on gym wrestling match over who gets to date Archie tonight — and a horrified Mr. Lodge has to physically break it up before sending them both home in disgrace. Neither girl has any intention of backing down, and Archie is somewhere out there completely oblivious to all of it. Will Betty or Veronica land the date — or will their rivalry blow the whole thing up entirely?
