Pep Comic Issue 152 includes the story “Archie in To Tell The Truth”. In Mr. Flutesnoot’s chemistry class, Archie accidentally stumbles onto a formula for a truth serum that works just by being inhaled. Excited by the discovery, Flutesnoot rushes to show Principal Weatherbee, convinced it could make students tell the truth at all times. But after accidentally inhaling some himself, he quickly learns that blurting out the truth isn’t always such a great idea. And somehow—as usual—this all circles back to Archie getting into trouble! Other stories in this issue include “Moose in All State Star“, “The Jaguar in The Creature That Cried”, “Li'l Jinx in Making A Name!”, and more. Originally running from 1940 all the way into the '80s, PEP was the platform for Archie's first appearance in 1941 and introduced many of the Riverdale citizens that the world still follows over 80 years later.
