Pep Comic Issue 131 includes the story “Archie in A Switch in Time”. Reggie is convinced that Archie is the luckiest guy in the world, so he talks Archie into switching places with him until 5 PM. Reggie thinks he’ll get to date Veronica and enjoy all of Archie’s good fortune… but will he actually ride a wave of luck until 5 PM, or will it be a battle just to survive the switch? Originally running from 1940 all the way into the '80s, PEP was the platform for Archie's first appearance in 1941 and introduced many of the Riverdale citizens that the world still follows over 80 years later.
