Pep Comic Issue 119 includes the story “Archie in Arch For Art's Sake”. Veronica’s birthday is tomorrow, and she’s convinced Archie hasn’t gotten her a thing—after all, he’s been avoiding her all week. But Betty and Jughead know the real reason and tell her: Archie has been secretly meeting with an artist to have a portrait made as her gift. It sounds romantic… until Veronica finds out who the artist is, and then she absolutely blows her stack!
