In the vein of the movie Titanic, Pearl is an exciting World War II action/romance story. It follows a beautiful young Filipina with Spanish roots who yearns to escape her troubles. She hatches a plot to make an American businessman fall in love with her and whisk her away. However, the brutal Japanese invasion of the Philippines forces them to seek refuge in the jungle, where they must evade a vengeful Japanese Colonel hell-bent on tracking them down and ending their lives.
