The inmates recover after the recent trauma. Maruk, also feeling the pressure, increases his iron fisted attempts at control. Itsahk requests time in the Veil, seemingly to reap the minute psychological benefits of a brief moment outside the tower’s eternal gaze. He performs another test of the security system, gauging its reaction time and limits, reigniting a new level of instability and terror in the Panopticon.
