Mystic follows Anna Thomas, a brilliant but overworked physicist in Chicago whose life is upended when a mysterious crystal—part of a classified government project called Project Resonance—explodes during a containment failure. Instead of killing her, the artifact bonds with her on a fundamental level, granting her the ability to generate and manipulate purple‑blue extradimensional energy: shields, blades, propulsion, and devastating bursts of force.
