Maurice "Motor City Mo" Goldman has hit rock bottom. His glory days of being a boxing prospect are behind him, now you'll find him alone in his apartment throwing back whisky by the gallon or down at Clooney's strip club. On occasion he earns money as an enforcer for Don Dozier breakin legs & crackin skulls. But Mo can't take it anymore, he wants out. Only problem is, he can't die.

2 days ago, Motor City Mo was drinking himself numb while trying (and failing) to commit suicide. Then he met Dora. Now, as tensions between Dollar Don and his rivals escalate, Mo finds himself distracted. His allegiance has been to Dollar Don for years--he's been Don's "guy" through thick and thin. But Dora has him looking forward to tomorrow if it means another chance to see her.
Dora didn’t expect to find herself waiting to go on a 2nd date with Mo, and she didn’t expect him to show up 5 hours late covered in blood and bullet holes. Dora didn’t know much about Mo. She wouldn’t have thought that prior to arriving at her doorstep he had been carrying out a retaliatory strike at Dollar Don’s request. And she had no idea that this was a pretty normal night for Mo.
