Japan, 1933. Miyako Fujiwara is a high school student who has been plagued by dreams of a strange soldier with a star symbol marked on his gloves. Though on the 10th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake, the man, calling himself Yato, appears in her waking life, offering her the choice to learn onmyōdō and “achieve her potential.” But Miyako is more interested in what he means by “her potential” and the connection she feels with him. The new housekeeper, Kiyoshi, suspects that there’s something more sinister going on. And his fear is that a powerful onmyōji is behind it.
