Deacon Call was a killer. He killed men, women, and children, killed near anything that walked or crawled. The Texas Rangers loathed him, disgusted by the fact he wore the star. Until the day he killed the shaman’s daughter and hell was unleashed upon him and his Ranger brethren. Half of the Rangers were lucky to die by the Natives’ machetes, but the rest were murdered by the beast that Call became, The Man-dog. Call was cursed to wander the earth like a dog without a home. Seeking atonement. Seeking salvation. Always one step ahead of the Devil himself.
