Release #1 - Madness At True North

Purp, a young girl, and her adoptive mother attempt to fufill their dream of making pilgrimage to see the light of a star. Madness At True North was completed in under a month to be submitted for a manga contest. I worked on another 59 page one-shot manga simultaneously for which I had completed the writing and storyboards and handed off the art to another artist (This contest had a 59 page limit). The story and art components of this work were incredibly rushed and I do not believe they are indicative of my current skill level. Despite the glaring flaws I have shared the work here in the same condition as it was submitted for the contest. Excuses aside, I hope someone manages to enjoy this work, and I'm curious to see what thematic interpretations people might come up with.
