Lord Tokoda and his soldiers arrive at the port of Naha, on the island of Okinawa, Japan, 1609. He intends to collect taxes for his Shogun, but is sidetracked by islanders who are being terrorised by a supernatural wraith. They plead for his assistance, so he requests audience with the local elder to learn of their plight.
