What begins as a counter-terror operation quickly turns personal when Kitt recognizes the bombs being planted. They are identical to the explosives he himself used in the future. The implication is unavoidable: these events are connected across time. The confrontation spirals out of control when the terrorists escape with the help of a mysterious being capable of bending space and time. The explosion cannot be stopped. but thanks to Kitt’s intervention, no lives are lost. In the aftermath, a single bomb fails to detonate. Inside, Kitt discovers something impossible: Great War–era manufacturing chips traced to a Union facility that should no longer exist.
