In Vain

In Vain is a sci-fi action drama set in a near-future world transformed by a revolutionary energy source known as the Donnigan Power Cell. Once celebrated as the answer to humanity’s energy crisis, the technology instead fractures society, fueling unrest, corruption, and violence across the globe. At the center of the story is Shane, an experimental super soldier created through donny technology. Emotionally isolated and struggling to understand his place in a collapsing world, Shane’s path collides with Mikaela, a sharp-witted woman trapped in debt to a violent gang who takes him hostage during a desperate escape. Their uneasy alliance pulls them into a dangerous conspiracy surrounding Operation Unity, a secret government AI initiative designed to monitor and control humanity under the promise of peace. As tensions rise and loyalties blur, Shane and Mikaela are forced to decide whether humanity can still be saved—or whether control is the only future left.
