Darcy Hart comes from a repressed, dysfunctional family, despite their wealth and high social standing. The Harts project a class of a stiff upper lip but Darcy finds comfort in the electric party scene of 1980s London. Soon he finds the dark side of living the drugs, sex, and rock n' roll lifestyle. He escapes the expectations of his parents only to find himself prisoner to the expectations of his lovers.
I really disagree with George and I think he's incredibly wrong here. Darcy shouldn't feel responsible for how Henry takes things. I mean it's true that his decision will impact Henry of course however, I really don't think he should feel guilty for the way Henry digested it. George solidifying the guilt that Darcy has for making the decision to be honest with Henry instead of lying is not only a selfish decision on George's part but it really shows that he also disregards how Darcy feels and instead would prefer that he keep the status quo which is very their parents of him. Henry is his own person and has his own responsibility for his emotions and Darcy already has a incredible weight to carry with everybody's treatment of him so I really don't think he needs to add Henry's. he even show that he cared by willing to talk to Henry about what's going on instead of just icing him out.

Henry looks so sad. I’m glad Darcy had the balls to end it for his sake
