Space lanes between Earth and Mars are open! New Grand Central Station awaits! Ness, a computer engineer by trade, landed a tutoring gig in exchange for passage. The kids Ness is escorting belong to some Granica corpo, so they can afford an entire houseboat—just three people in a cylindrical apartment for eight weeks. Ness even has a Granica brand TravelCat to keep them company on the trip. It should be a pretty easy couple of months, except for the "gravy shock." This would be an easy job, but Ness' cat is more than a stock TravelPet and there is a fourth person who knows a lot about space travel waiting for them when they arrive.
